Link Love from "Success Notes"

The second blog I hooked up with Entrecard is a very dedicated blog. I was really quite hesitant to put "outside" advertising on it as it is dedicated to a business I'm building.

I gotta say, it's been one of the best decisions I've made. By sharing just a small 125x125 square, I've attracted and met some of the nicest folks. Oh, and I even dared to put that little "ad" at the very top of my blog.

Have I recruited anyone? No, but then I don't recruit. If you want to join me in my business, I make it very easy for you. The blog is attached to my own web site which explains absolutely everything you need to know, before choosing to join my business.

So, on to the link love...

In keeping with the new tradition of providing free advertising for my "most frequent visitors", there are three recipients on the Success Notes blog. Each one visited my blog 26 times in the past 30 days. So, CK Marketing, Fantasy Baseball, and Turnip of Power will have their Entrecard Icons shown proudly on my blog for the next month.

Very close behind were Yimto Affiliate Marketing Blog, Computer Tech News, BookCalendar, Jean Costa, Ez DIY Electricity - Residential Electrical Wiring, Projects Made Easy, Saphrym.com, and joanjoyce.

The site that sent me the most clicks was Article Specialist, with Turnip of Power very close behind.

Thanks to all of you!

Link Love from "Shari's Gone Country!"

I know it may seem a little crazy to hand out link love from someplace other than the original blog, but I have reasons.

You see, "Shari's Gone Country!" is dedicated to my story... a story of what I do around our little homestead in the desert. While it is monetized, and it is a part of Entrecard, it's main purpose is to tell my story.

So, rather than make "off topic" posts, I pass the link love from here.

Who are my most loyal visitors?

Yimto Affiliate Marketing Blog has been to my site nearly daily, naving visited 31 times in the last 35 days. Tim is a 22-year-old ex-university student who is making his way in Internet Marketing. Tim, thanks for taking the time to visit each day. For your loyalty, I'll be giving you a full month of free advertising with your Entrecard Icon posted prominently on my "Shari's Gone Country!" blog.

The next four most loyal visitors are Fantasy Baseball, Hulag, Homesick for Abroad, and Photos from Northern Norway.

Each of those bloggers visited my blog more than 10 times in the past 30 days.

When it came to providing me traffic by way of my Entrecard on their site, Fantasy Baseball provided me 120 visitors, with Grumpamoose adding another 45.

Entrecard gave me this much traffic in one month

I first heard about Entrecard from some folks at Blog Catalog. I was busy writing, and didn't really feel like I had time to figure out another new "social program"... So, it sat amongst my favorites for a couple of weeks.

At that time, my "Shari's Gone Country!" blog was averaging about 45 unique visitors a day.

I joined Entrecard just before Christmas. My daily page views for that last week of December averaged 68 visitors. This during a time when Internet usage is generally low.

So far, in January I'm averaging 85 unique visitors per day. That's almost double what I was seeing before Entrecard.

The very next day, I added "Success Notes". This was Dec 21 and this site was getting an average of about 18 unique visitors a day. The remaining days in December averaged 60 visitors a day.

Because I was seeing success, I added a third blog... "Ask Me Why... Work From Home" on Christmas Eve. Again this site averaged about 46 unique visitors a day prior to adding it to Entrecard. For the rest of the month it averaged 95 visitors a day.

After Christmas, I added the golf site, since it's now time to play Fantasy Golf. It literally went from no visits to an average of 30 visitors per day.

In January, the results have been even better.

Now, what are even more important are the repeat visitors. In the next post, I'm going to spread some serious link love when I begin listing (and linking) my most loyal visitors. I get that information thanks to the Statistics page on each of my Entrecard accounts.

I'm BookWise... Are you BookWise?

Billed as "the most intelligent home business in the world", BookWise got my attention in a big way.

Now, in all fairness, I clearly understand that right now, this business isn't for "everyone".

Here's why...
  • Unless you're an "early adopter" the stress of working with a "baby" company will drive you nuts. BookWise isn't even a full year old until next week.
  • If you're not a reader, a book lover, you may struggle with it. Sure we have CD's, and DVD's but it is... BookWise.
  • If you think all network marketing is evil, and your mind is closed to new ideas... then this isn't for you. It IS a network marketing company.
  • If you'd rather make money by sitting back and doing nothing, this isn't for you. For BookWise to rise up and seriously challenge Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Powell's, it's gonna take some serious work.
On the other hand, if you've ever experienced the thrill of helping launch a business, and getting the perks that go with the territory, you've got to do your own due diligence.

I got on board because...
  • I am an early adopter. I've been with a number of online start ups, and still have income from some after 7 years.
  • When I'm not reading on the Internet, I love to "get lost" in a good book. I also love music, and if I can get a substantial discount for books and CD's, then I'm a happy camper.
  • I believe in the concept of network marketing, and leveraging. No, I've not been a part of any ugly tactics. You can be successful by being forthright in your business.
  • I understand what it takes to build a business. It took me 12 long years to reach stardom in a traditional business I started. There were many who thought I should quit... but I just couldn't, because I had a vision of success. That vision became reality after a very long time.
You can check out exactly what got my attention and why by going to "Why BookWise".

A few months ago, I was called from retirement...

Here I was, enjoying life on our little homestead in the desert, happily tending the chickens, sheep and bringing up some young horses... that's "newbie speak" for training them.

I got a letter from a long-time mentor, Robert G Allen. To me, he's kind of like E. F. Hutton. When he sends me something, I read it... and investigate it, just in case it's something I should be doing.

Well, yes, after several weeks of investigating I decided maybe I should come out of retirement and chase the dream one more time.

Only one small problem... I'd destroyed all my lists, dumped all the networking software off my hard drive, and... it had been well over a year since I'd even peeked in on the Internet marketing world. It had been nearly 7 years since I'd last been active in Network Marketing.

To make things really interesting, and keep me accountable, I've decided to chronicle my journey as I build a new organization from scratch, and using nearly only the internet.

I'd love your feedback, and any suggestions you might have as I travel through cyberspace seeking other like-minded individuals. Click on that 125x125 icon to the left and you'll be at "Ask Me Why... Work From Home".

I used to play golf... now I play PGA Tour Fantasy Golf

Yeah, since I moved to SW Utah, and many miles from any kind of civilization, I no longer play golf. Actually, after an auto accident, and an on-the-job back injury, playing golf isn't really on the agenda.

So, I satisfy my golf cravings by playing PGA Tour Fantasy Golf along with well over 200,000 other golf addicts.

You can keep up with how I do at "Ask Shari About PGA Tour Fantasy Golf". I've played seriously (well as serious as you can in a free game) for the past three years, and have blogged about my experiences, as well as my picks.

This year, I really want to complete the season. Previous seasons have been shortened by software issues, and that's no fun.

Shari's Gone Country and then some...

Just over a year ago, I made a life change, not just a life style change.

I tell the story at "Shari's Gone Country!".

Yes, I retired from Internet Marketing to write another book. This one is about how I met a friend on the internet and how (as a group), we all decided to make huge life changes. Actually, my friends made the change, and I followed a year later.

You'll laugh 'til your sides hurt when you discover some of the things we do on our little "ranchette" in the desert.

This blog is changing directions...

If you noticed the header... DXSynergy is off line for the foreseeable future.

I've been patient, waiting the the right time to announce that DXSynergy was actually open and doing business. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

Recently, I've come to realize that this blog needs to provide you solid information about how to make money. I look at my stats, and see that when you come here, and the links are broken... you're going to the next link that talks about making money.

So, for the forseeable future... that is until such time as DXSynergy returns to life and actually does business, please visit the sites shown above.

I am removing all links in the sidebar which go to DXSynergy, and replacing them with ads of companies that provide good products and services right now. I am working with Project Wonderful, AdToll, Entrecard and Google AdSense to provide the things you want.

From time-to-time, I will update this blog with info about DXSynergy and my other businesses.

Watch for the new advertising, and future posts!
